Position Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct nursing care and clinical support services within a correctional healthcare setting under the supervision of Registered Nurses and licensed healthcare providers. The LPN will be responsible for monitoring incarcerated individuals, administering medications and treatments, documenting patient conditions, and supporting the delivery of quality healthcare services. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, experience in fast-paced healthcare environments, and the ability to work independently while maintaining compliance with facility policies and healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care and supportive healthcare services to incarcerated individuals. • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing guidelines and physician orders. • Observe, assess, and document changes in patient conditions, promptly reporting findings to Registered Nurses. • Obtain and accurately record complete sets of vital signs and other clinical observations. • Gather patient information and communicate findings effectively to nursing supervisors and healthcare providers. • Assist Registered Nurses in the implementation and monitoring of nursing care plans. • Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive care to individuals as directed. • Deliver restorative and rehabilitative nursing services within the scope of LPN practice. • Follow clinical instructions provided by Registered Nurses, supervising nurses, and primary care providers. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and observations. • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and complete assigned duties efficiently and professionally. • Work autonomously while collaborating effectively with nursing and healthcare teams.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, healthcare regulations, and correctional healthcare standards.

Work Schedule & Conditions • Schedule: Monday - Friday • Shift Hours: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM EST • Overtime: Not required • Travel: Not required • Holidays: Required to work New York State holidays as scheduled

Qualifications & Requirements • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of New York • Experience in correctional, psychiatric, hospital, long-term care, or other fast-paced healthcare settings preferred • Experience administering medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards • Ability to obtain, assess, and document vital signs and patient health information accurately • Strong clinical observation, communication, and documentation skills • Ability to work independently under the direction of Registered Nurses • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Commitment to patient care, safety, confidentiality, and professional nursing standards

Background Check Requirements • Criminal history background check required prior to facility clearance • Background investigation may require approximately 7-10 business days for processing • Facility access is contingent upon successful completion of all required clearances

Vaccination & Medical Requirements • Must meet facility medical clearance and health screening requirements

Required Training • Facility-specific orientation and training as required prior to assignment
