Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Veteran Disability Evaluations
Our organization is in search of a committed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to become part of our team, focusing on medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as a component of the VA's disability benefits assessment. This position entails performing targeted, in-person physical examinations and electronically reviewing medical records to fulfill the necessary documentation for the VA.
Primary Responsibilities:- Conduct in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
- Examine and interpret electronic medical records through a secure online portal.
- Thoroughly document examination results and complete the required VA paperwork.
- Offer medical insights based on your evaluation findings.
Important: This position does not include treatment or medication prescriptions. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is responsible for making disability determinations, not the provider.
Position Overview:- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM).
- Location: In-person role.
- Caseload: 3-5 Veterans daily.
- Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.
- A caring professional committed to assisting the Veteran community.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess medical records and evaluation data.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines.
- Proficient in electronic documentation and online portals.
- A professional and compassionate approach when engaging with Veterans.
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license.
- Comfortable utilizing technology for record reviews and documentation tasks.
