EHS Manager

Environmental, Health & Safety Manager – TIMET Henderson, NV Summary: Establish programs, guidelines and strategies to manage health, safety, workers compensation, security and environmental opportunities at the Henderson site. The scope includes employee training, new hire orientation, operational safety, environmental, workers compensation, site security and maintenance issues. Manage and coordinate safety and environmental compliance initiatives, projects, corrective actions, and incident investigations. Essential Functions Leads and maintains an integrated management system in alignment with Corporate EHSS, including policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines. Ensures departmental direction and goals are aligned with corporate strategies; performs short term and long range planning and develops initiatives and action plans to achieve these goals. Responsible for departmental staff performance; manages and develops staff talent. Manages and coordinates the workers compensation program for Henderson. Provides recommendations to improve workers compensation program efficiencies. Oversees the TIMET Henderson Safety Committees. Leads the TIMET Henderson Safety Review Board. Conducts/coordinates major accident investigations and issues safety corrective actions. Manages all injury situations from immediate injury through return to work. Reviews and analyzes safety statistics and data, taking action as required. Monitors and evaluates in‑house HSE training classes. Manages Henderson's new employee orientation HSE training. Works closely with Senior Staff on Quality and CI initiatives. Oversees SafeTrack incident reporting software, tracks status of corrective action follow‑up, and issues reports. Conducts periodic safety audits, reports findings, and takes action to address findings. Oversees new safety programs and initiatives to increase awareness and reduce the potential for accidents and exposures. Reports on Health, Safety and Environment key performance indicators as required (weekly, monthly, annual). Supervises the radiation safety and film badge‑monitoring program. Manages Industrial Hygiene Program, Hearing Conservation Program, Respiratory Protection Program, Hazard Communication Program, and Management of Change as required. Coordinates safety data sheets management in conformance with Federal and State regulations. Reports monthly statistics, audits, etc. to the Corporation. Stays current on regulatory (OSHA) requirements and changes, and continues an active personal/professional development program through seminars, home‑study courses, trade magazines, books, journals, etc. Provides shipping support for operations implementing Hazardous Materials Regulations. Education and Experience Four‑year college degree in safety or related field and ten years of related experience. Technical training skills, auditing, and supervisor experience desired. Willingness to work in a 24‑hour 7‑day per week manufacturing environment. Ability to travel to other TIMET facilities. Ability to work a flexible schedule with weekend and/or back shift hours as required. Strong organizational and communication skills; good writing skills. Ability to focus on details and understand the overall impact of events and decisions. Demonstrated competency in the technical and training skills required to fulfill the position's responsibilities. Knowledge of OSHA and NVCAP requirements and the potential safety hazards at TIMET. Knowledge of Environmental requirements and potential hazards at TIMET. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with personnel at all organizational levels. Strong computer skills (database, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.). Relocation Relocation is authorized for this position.
