We are seeking a Board-Certified Neurologist to provide locum tenens coverage at an outpatient neurology practice near Glendale, California. This opportunity is ideal for a physician looking for a long-term locum assignment with a focus on outpatient care.

Position Details:

• Start Date: January 1, 2025
• Duration: Ongoing; potential for long-term engagement
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break, 8 guaranteed hours per day)
• Setting: Outpatient only; no inpatient care required
• Call Coverage: None
• Patients Per Day: Approximately 15

Requirements:

• Active California medical license
• Board Certification in Neurology
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience in outpatient neurology preferred
• Fellowship not required

Procedures and Skills:

The following skills are preferred but not required:

• Occipital nerve blocks
• Trigger point injections
• Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (e.g., lumbar puncture)

Additional Details:

• EMR System: Epic
• Support Staff: Collaborative team including 4 medical assistants and 3 office staff members
• Onboarding/orientation in the clinic setting (no hospital privileging required)
• Facility is stroke-certified, ensuring a high standard of neurological care
