Position Summary At Lids, Assistant Store Managers are essential to the brand. They maintain store performance, foster a fun and inclusive environment, and deliver exceptional customer service by providing expertise on Lids’ products and services. People & Training Act as Manager on duty for scheduling and customer complaints when Store Manager is absent. Manage store associates through training programs, goal setting for sales and tasks, and regular follow‑up. Administer progressive discipline including verbal and written warnings. Engage team members by creating a supportive and productive environment and explaining how their work supports company objectives. Create a respectful and inclusive team environment by establishing supportive relationships and adhering to brand standards. Schedule and staff the store, calling in associates for unexpected peaks. Participate in training programs, set goals and follow up. Assist in recruiting and training personnel on operations and procedures. Ensure compliance with company policies, protecting inventory, funds and property. Perform any other duties as assigned. Customer Experience Lead, execute and support Lids selling strategy to meet KPIs and sales targets while delivering excellent customer service. Resolve customer feedback and address escalations immediately, with a goal to "make it right." Encourage participation in Lids membership programs and special in‑store offers. Adhere to visual merchandising guidelines, merchandising, signage and store cleanliness. Maintain professional appearance consistent with dress code. Operations Execute company‑level directives, promotions and initiatives from Lids HQ. Follow Policies & Procedures Manual to maintain safety. Maintain store technology and equipment—MPOS, Lids Custom—by daily audits, functionality checks, updates and repairs. Execute service requests and inventory replenishment or repair work. Manage cash accurately: opening and closing till, counterfeit protection, bank drops. Prepare store for inventory audits and assist with audits. Open and close the store following Operations P&P Manual. Product & Inventory Management Protect company assets per LIDS Retail policies. Prepare work schedules that meet coverage and wage control guidelines. Accurately manage inventory: receiving, transferring, pricing changes and product counts. Organize backroom for maximum efficiency. Execute visual merchandising strategies: window activations, hardware flips, mannequin flips, seasonal and weekly changes. Maintain store look with day‑to‑day VM actions. Adjust pricing signage and promotional presentations in‑hourly. Required Knowledge & Skills Produce sales results while minimizing loss.
