Overview

Called To Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will provide quality, person-centered care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential group home setting. Our caregivers play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and a safe, supportive environment for every member we serve.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Prepare and serve meals according to individual dietary needs.
• Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
• Assist with medication administration as directed.
• Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and incident reports.
• Monitor and report changes in members' physical or emotional condition.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Accompany members to appointments and community activities when assigned.
• Support members in achieving personal goals while promoting independence and choice.
• Follow all company policies, member support plans, and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous caregiving, healthcare, or direct support experience is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and personal care duties.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Must successfully pass all pre-employment screening requirements.

Preferred Certifications

• CPR/First Aid
• Article 9
• Prevention and Support (P&S) or PROUD
• Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Current TB screening/documentation
