Title Store Manager Reports To District Manager Position Summary Reporting to the District Manager (DM), the Store Manager (SM) will lead the day‑to‑day operations of a single store to achieve all sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation, and team member growth and development. The SM will champion a People‑First store environment that promotes diversity and inclusion, builds long‑term relationships with customers, and delivers a best‑in‑class customer experience. Vision and Purpose Communicates performance expectations, coaches staff to embody brand values, supports corporate initiatives, and ensures all team members understand how goals will be achieved. The SM demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude to inspire and motivate staff. Customer Obsession Ensures the team delivers an exceptional customer experience through training, outreach, communication, and clear expectations. Empowers staff to resolve customer issues and drives high service levels via follow‑up. Critical Thinking & Innovative Action Achieves sales projections and quotas, develops strategies to maximize sales potential, identifies operational issues, coaches staff to address root causes, reviews reports, identifies trends, and implements changes that drive results. Collaborates with neighboring stores for shared objectives. Employee Experience Leads talent selection, onboarding, and coaching in operations, sales techniques, customer service, product knowledge, inventory control, and visual merchandising. Sets clear performance expectations, monitors progress, and maintains accurate data for employee rewards. Works a schedule aligned with business needs and attends additional duties as assigned. Work Schedule During non‑peak periods, a five‑day, 40‑hour work week is expected. Hours increase during peak selling periods. The schedule balances opening and closing shifts throughout the week and allows time for coaching, training, and development. Position Qualifications Education Required: Minimum of 2 years of college preferred. Job‑Related Experience: At least 3 years of retail sales experience or 2 years of retail sales plus a minimum of 1 year of retail management experience. Preference for specialty retail or jewelry experience and Diamond Council of America (DCA) certification. Technical/Other Skills Required: Advanced communication (written and verbal), proficiency in MS Office and related business tools, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, problem‑solving and conflict‑management abilities, professional appearance, planning and organizational skills, independent work, delegation, and detailed explanation of information. Additional Language(s) Required: Bilingual skills are a plus. Physical Demands The role requires standing, reaching, moving between displays, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling or crouching as needed, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity to discern gemstone quality is required. The workweek normally includes weekends, evenings, holidays, extended hours, and occasional travel for training or business meetings.
