Notes:

  • Seeking a Data Analyst to support a large data governance backlog remediation initiative.
  • SQL is a must-have - needs to be able to pull tables and identify associated data elements/columns for review and documentation.
  • Strong organization, project management, and reporting skills to manage the inventory, track progress, and provide regular stakeholder updates.
  • Must understand data governance practices and have experience creating governance artifacts such as:
    • Data dictionaries
    • Source-to-target mappings ( STTMs )
    • Critical Data Elements ( CDEs )
  • Strong teamwork and stakeholder collaboration skills are important - this project cannot be completed in a silo and will require coordination with peers, SMEs, and business partners.
  • Nice to have: Power BI experience, executive-level presentation skills, and experience translating data trends into meaningful business insights .
  • Primary screening focus: SQL + data governance artifacts + organization/project management + ability to work effectively across teams.

Key recruiter takeaway: This is not primarily a BI/dashboard role . Prioritize candidates who can use SQL, understand governance documentation, and effectively manage a large inventory of remediation work. Power BI and data storytelling are secondary.
