Summer Camp Director at Key Bridge Boathouse

Job Summary Key Bridge Boathouse Summer Camp is a day camp that runs for 8 weeks from June through August. The ideal candidate is able to work full time in the summer between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm and has prior experience teaching or running a day camp. Compensation USD 21.00 per hour. Job Description Determine staffing requirements. Hire and train new staff. Supervise staff according to company policy. Set employee goals and objectives. Develop the "Boating is Fun" lesson plans and staff training. Provide personal guidance to campers and counselors by leading by example, demonstrating leadership and compassion. Participate in all camp activities and meetings. Maintain the health and safety of all campers and staff. Answer camp emails, phone calls, and other inquiries as directed. Maintain positive relationships with parents through regular communication. Operate a motor boat and use rental equipment. Perform other duties as required by the Manager and Assistant Manager. Skill & Knowledge Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Knowledge of business and management principles and practices. Proficiency in relevant software applications. Customer service skills. Intermediate knowledge of boating such as kayaking, canoeing, etc. At least two weeks of full‑time administrative experience in an organized camp or related program. Minimum age 21 years. Eight weeks of full‑time experience working with 6‑15 year olds. Preferred certifications: US Sailing, ACA, WSI Instructor or Lifeguard trainer. Basic proficiency in speaking Spanish preferred. Preferable CPR/First Aid Trainer certification. Required Licenses & Certifications Driver’s License. Red Cross CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard or equivalent.
