Maintenance Electrician

Electrical Maintenance TechnicianPerforming maintenance on all plant electrical equipment including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair work. Answer all pages/calls. Repair breakdowns to get machinery running as soon as possible.This position has shared responsibilities in maintaining the company's SQF food safety and food quality system, complying with any applicable food regulations, and striving for continuous improvement in all areas.It is expected that this position will participate in the company's safety program and play a role creating a safe working environment for everyone.Wages: $40.20/hr - $44.66/hrSchedule: 2:00pm -10:30pm Monday - FridayEssential Functions:Coordinate with electrical contractors while performing installation/repair workCoordinate with maintenance technicians during installation and maintenance work to ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and applicable codes.Assist maintenance technicians with electrical troubleshooting proceduresAssist maintenance technicians with operation of electrical and electronic components and systemsAssist other maintenance technicians with equipment breakdowns/repair when neededUse CMMS to document work activitiesCoordinate with vendors and purchasing to select and procure the most cost effective electrical suppliesAssist in developing and improving preventive maintenance proceduresCoordinate with immediate supervisor on any maintenance difficulties that may require supplementary work by additional employees or contractors.Communicate with affected plant personnel regarding maintenance and repairs to equipment.Be watchful for any damage/necessary repairs on equipment in and around the facility.Adhere to all safety procedures, rules and regulations while performing assigned duties.Be watchful for facility security concerns and communicate to proper personnelParticipate in teams as assigned. This can include safety committee, quality, energy or production efficiency teams.Attend training meetings/classes as required.Maintain work area clean, safe and sanitary.Perform other job related duties or special projects as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:High School diploma or GED requiredMinimum of Industrial Plant Journeyman license requiredRockwell Automation PLC certification or 2 years minimum experience with programming and troubleshooting desiredBe able to design and construct electrical control and power systemsAbility to work flexible schedules including nights, some weekends and holidays.Ability to work well with other employeesMust be able to quickly adjust schedule based on company needsMust be able to pass all pre-employment and random screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).
