Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• 304-bed acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campuses
• Epic EMR used; experience required
• Radiation badge required and must be provided prior to start

Requirements

• Active SC RRT license required; license must be in hand at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and RRT
• Epic EMR experience required
• Social Security card and driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates who were previously permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible
• Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
• Free parking is available via pass distributed at badge pickup; garage clearance is limited to average-sized SUVs and trucks
• During hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
