Description

• Conduct evaluations for a variety of age groups, employing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that reflect the unique communication or swallowing objectives for each patient.
• Deliver direct speech therapy focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and more, ensuring comprehensive and integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress beyond the clinic.
• Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapy sessions to maintain a seamless continuum of care.
• Document patient progress and treatment plans in adherence with all regulatory standards.
• Stay ahead in the field by participating in continuing education and collaborating with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• Active state licensure for Speech Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
