Diesel/Gas Mechanic

North Star Buick GMC is seeking a skilled Diesel/Gas Mechanic to join our team in Zelienople, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engine/gas engines and related systems to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. At North Star Buick GMC our first priority is taking care of our technicians, we offer competitive wages, hourly bonuses starting at 45 hours, additional hours increase for Diesel Repairs, Internal Engine and Transmission Repairs and Electrical Diagnosis and Repairs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test diesel/gas vehicles to identify mechanical issues
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components
• Use diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot engine problems
• Maintain accurate service records and report findings to management
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with team members to improve service processes and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diesel/Gas Mechanic with GM Experience Preferred
• Strong knowledge of diesel/gas engine systems and components
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and computerized engine controls
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus
• Valid drivers license and the ability to work in Zelienople, PA
