Registered Nurse ICU

Job Summary:


The ICU RN will provide advanced critical care to patients in the intensive care unit, ensuring they receive comprehensive, high-quality treatment during their stay. This role requires flexibility in shift work and the ability to float within scope to meet unit needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, monitoring vital signs and managing complex medical conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient progress, responses to treatments, and clinical observations accurately in electronic health records.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, providing life-saving interventions as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, licensing, and certification standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active South Carolina or Compact RN license prior to start date.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent ICU and/or Stepdown nursing experience.
• Be ACLS and BLS certified; NIHSS preferred.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
• Be able to float within scope to meet facility needs and handle high-acuity patients.
• Be willing to work night shifts, including holiday rotation, with a 1:4 weekend ratio.
