Location Princeton House Behavioral Health Summary Responsible for providing optimal nutrition care to patients, conducting and evaluating nutritional assessments, providing nutrition education to patients, family and staff, participation in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings. Responsibilities Provide age appropriate care as indicated by knowledge of the principle of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess and interpret data relative to the patient’s age. Provide coverage for meal time monitoring, as needed. Weigh patients. Document all therapeutic interactions, significant contacts with patient/family/other providers, therapeutic goals, and other data in concise, readable format in the electronic medical record on a timely basis, in accordance with Policies and Procedures. Maintain all standards of confidentiality. Interact professionally, respectfully and flexibly with patients, families and staff in performance of daily duties. Participate in program educational activities and marketing activities, such as speaking engagements, writing professional articles, providing in-service education, cultivating new referral sources, attending conferences and bringing information back to the program in the form of program development, in-service education, etc. Attend scheduled staff meetings and in-services. Comply with continuing education requirements of the field and complete required annual competencies. Participate in hospital and program performance improvement goals. Perform all other related duties as assigned and requested. Credentials Registered Dietitian (Required) Education or Equivalent Experience Bachelor of Arts or Science BS or BA in Human Nutrition Two to three years previous experience as Clinical Nutritionist Benefits We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
