Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a valid RN license in North Carolina, and recent ICU experience. You must hold Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications. The Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) credential is highly recommended for travel ICU nurses. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and strong decision-making skills are also recommended.
