Head of AI Clinical Excellence

Pfizer seeks a strategic leader to advance artificial intelligence applications across clinical development. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and scale AI-driven capabilities that enhance trial design, operational efficiency, and regulatory readiness in drug development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute enterprise strategy for AI-enabled clinical excellence across clinical development
- Drive adoption of AI solutions for study design, patient recruitment, trial execution, and clinical data review
- Partner with digital and data science teams to design, build, validate, and deploy AI-powered tools
- Establish AI governance frameworks, validation approaches, and risk management processes with regulatory teams
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and represent organization in industry forums and health authority interactions
Requirements
- MD with 4+ years pharma/biotech/CRO/healthcare experience OR PhD in life sciences/clinical research/data science with 5+ years OR MS in related field with 7+ years
- Experience designing and implementing AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics in clinical research settings
- Background in clinical development, operations, science, data review, or regulatory science activities
- Track record leading cross-functional programs with clinical, regulatory, scientific, and technical teams
- Strong knowledge of GCP, clinical trial conduct, drug development, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to translate complex scientific challenges into scalable technology solutions
- Strong communication and executive influencing capabilities
