Sr. Financial Analyst

Finance Team Member

This role is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for driving financial modeling, strategic analysis, and investment decision support across the business. The position will lead the development of pro formas for new club investments, lease evaluations, and capital allocation decisions, while supporting forecasting and performance analysis across a multi-unit, subscription-based business. This individual will partner closely with the VP of Finance & Strategy to evaluate growth opportunities, optimize financial performance, and improve visibility into key business drivers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pro forma models for new club openings, relocations, and major capital investments
• Develop lease economics and site selection models, including NPV, IRR, payback, and sensitivity analysis
• Support and enhance subscription-based revenue modeling, including cohort behavior (EFT, PIF, promotions, attrition)
• Partner with Real Estate, Operations, and Executive Leadership to evaluate and prioritize investment opportunities
• Key contributor to the development, review, and refinement of forecasts, including AOP, quarterly reforecasts, and the LRP
• Deliver clear, executive-ready insights and presentations to senior leadership and the field
• Build scalable, automated models and tools to improve financial visibility and decision-making
• Support ad hoc strategic initiatives, including pricing, product expansion, and operational optimization

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong experience building advanced financial models (pro formas, scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling)
• Experience in multi-unit, service-based, or subscription-driven businesses
• Advanced Excel skills (large models, data tables, dynamic formulas, scenario modeling)
• Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for leadership
• Strong business acumen and ability to partner cross-functionally
• Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning (Strongly Preferred)
• Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools (Strongly Preferred)
• Experience with Mekko Graphics for executive-level presentations
• Background in fitness, retail, or multi-location operations
• Passion for health, fitness, and wellness

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer

Travel Requirement

• Limited travel; occasional club visits and periodic trips to headquarters in Carlsbad, CA
• Travel to clubs is typically less than once per month, and travel to headquarters is generally less than four times per year
