Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Facility Patrol in New Orleans, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and reliability to routine patrols while helping people first in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, patients, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local law enforcement, fire, and/or medical personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the property, parking areas, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and/or visitor authorization as required, while documenting security-related incidents, observations, and daily activity reports.
- Carry assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policy, post orders, and applicable laws, while using sound judgment and de-escalation techniques during security-related interactions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
