Position Summary

CRA is seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fabrication facility. This role is responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing inventory, overseeing logistics, leading shop personnel, and ensuring products are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing fabrication, manufacturing, warehouse, or production operations. This individual will serve as a key liaison between production, installation teams, purchasing, and management to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.

Knowledge of aluminum fabrication and welding processes is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily fabrication shop operations.
• Coordinate production schedules to meet customer and installation deadlines.
• Plan and prioritize workloads to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material purchases as needed.
• Manage receiving, storage, and distribution of shop materials and supplies.
• Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules with installation and field teams.
• Supervise and support fabrication shop personnel.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and production reports.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Promote quality control standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs when necessary.
• Work closely with management to identify operational improvements and efficiencies.
• Foster a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production, fabrication, warehouse, manufacturing, or operations management.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Experience with production scheduling, workforce planning, and workflow management.
• Experience managing inventory control and material purchasing.
• Understanding of logistics, shipping, receiving, and material coordination.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience utilizing computer systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings is preferred.
• Knowledge of aluminum fabrication and welding processes is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to senior leadership and collaborates closely with operations, installation, purchasing, and fabrication teams.
