Automation TechnicianWe are searching for a skilled professional to install, maintain, and repair state-of-the-art automation equipment in oilfield operations. If you have a passion for technology and safety, this role is tailor-made for you! Please note that candidates must be located in or around the Laredo, TX area.Install and test automation equipment for safety shutdown systems of wells and production facilities.Configure and diagnose serial radio networks.Maintain and repair automation equipment including pressure, temperature, and level transmitters, PLCs, liquid flow meters, and flow controllers.Perform preventative maintenance on safety shutdown equipment.Handle emergency service calls during and after hours.Maintain proper documentation on tasks and equipment used daily.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of oilfield automation experience is desired.High School diploma required; a 2-year technical degree is preferred.Ability to learn multiple software programs used in the configuration of field devices.Responsible attitude towards personal and co-worker safety.Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.Willingness to be on call and work unscheduled overtime.Ability to perform under pressure.Strong decision-making skills.Creativity and innovation.Adaptability to change and ambiguity.Strong time management skills.Proficient with Windows, Excel, and Outlook.Clean driver's license and driving record.Nesco Resource and affiliates are equal employment opportunity employers and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics with respect to employment opportunities.
