Our client is a well-established commercial general contractor specializing in large-scale projects of $10 million and above across the medical, retail, K-12, and higher education sectors. They are seeking an experienced estimator to join their team and play a key role in the bidding and preconstruction process. Responsibilities Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for medical, retail, K-12, and higher education construction projects. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project scope to determine material, labor, and equipment costs. Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to secure pricing. Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities in project planning. Present estimates and proposals to senior leadership and clients as needed. Stay up to date material costs, and industry regulations. Qualifications 4+ years of experience in estimating for commercial construction projects. Proven track record of estimating on projects in medical, retail, K-12, multifamily or higher education. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Proficiency in estimating software Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications. Strong communication and analytical skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
