Business Operations Manager

Montana State University is hiring a Business Operations Manager. This role collaborates to bridge the Administration and Finance Office with the Research Office within the Mark and Robyn Jones College of Nursing. The manager handles fiscal, human resource, and administrative tasks, reporting directly to the Director of Administration and Finance. Highlights Manage fiscal activities including budget maintenance, payroll reconciliation, and financial transactions. Handle human resources tasks like personnel hiring, appointment processing, and time and effort reporting. Coordinate contracts and procurement processes, using tools such as SmartBuy for purchasing and invoice processing. Serve as liaison with university offices including Fiscal Shared Services, Business Services, Procurement, and the Office of Sponsored Programs. Required software skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and relational database systems. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary is $25.04 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications. Preferred candidates have knowledge of university policies and experience with budget, HR, procurement, and contract management.
