Consultant - Clinical Performance Improvement (Nursing) - Healthcare

Job Overview We are seeking a consultant to lead complex clinical performance improvement projects within the Integrated Health Solutions practice at Berkeley Research Group (BRG). The role involves working closely with clients to design and implement strategies that enhance clinical quality, operational efficiency, and patient care. Responsibilities Support project workstream(s) under the direction of the project workstream/pillar Subject Matter Expert (SME), or serve as the SME when the work falls within the individual's core knowledge area. Assisting SMEs in non-core knowledge areas by contributing to workstream assessment and implementation deliverables. Supporting SMEs in establishing client processes and policies that maximize operational quality and efficiency. Monitoring implemented workstreams and providing timely feedback to CPI SMEs as directed. Independently meeting with clients and executives to advance project deliverables. Independently creating client-facing materials, including slide decks and other presentation materials. When acting as SME in core areas, developing project plans and deliverables for smaller-scale projects. Leading performance improvement work teams toward developing future-state processes. Submitting complete, accurate, and on-time expense reports and time entries. Actively participating in internal firm advancement through work teams, task forces, and other professional development activities. Notifying superiors when additional utilization bandwidth exists. Utilizing non-productive time for professional continuing education or firm advancement. Demonstrating willingness to work in other service lines as directed or assigned. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Either 3+ years of experience in clinical performance improvement consulting or 5-10 years of relevant industry experience with at least two years in a leadership role such as nurse manager or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in health or related field from an accredited institution; Master’s degree preferred. Candidates without a Master’s must enroll and complete within three years of hire. Relevant licensure/certification (e.g., Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Project Management Professional). Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Tableau preferred. Strong analytical, time management, and resource management skills. In-depth operational knowledge of inpatient nursing, workforce planning, and staffing strategies. Proven change‑management ability to guide stakeholders through process redesign and sustainable improvement. Excellent interpersonal skills for interfacing with nursing and labor initiative leaders. Demonstrated ability to lead smaller initiatives to drive process efficiencies and operational excellence. Legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Travel Willingness to travel consistently (approximately 80%) depending on project requirements and client expectations. Salary $90,000 - $135,000.
