Dietary Cook

Waynesburg Nursing & Rehab is seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Cook to join our team! We take pride in providing nutritious, well-prepared meals to our residents, and we’re looking for someone who shares our passion for serving others with care and excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with menus, dietary restrictions, and portion control standards

• Ensure food is handled, prepared, and stored safely, following all health and sanitation guidelines

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area

• Assist with inventory, ordering, and proper food storage

• Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and dietary staff to provide an exceptional dining experience for residents

• Accommodate special diets as ordered by physicians or dietitians

Qualifications:

• Previous cooking experience, preferably in healthcare, long-term care, or a commercial kitchen setting

• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and dietary guidelines

• Strong organizational and teamwork skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• ServSafe certification (preferred, but not required)
