Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Physician Assistant Certified to join our Ohio team, to diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices, in a post-acute, skilled nursing facility. As a non-physician provider, you are the go-to person for ensuring the best patient care and medical guidance is achieved. The job description includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests, and overseeing patients’ health. You are both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. You should have experience in one of the following specialties: acute care, family health, or geriatrics. Extensive clinical experience in primary care is vital. As a provider, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving, and good communication skills are important. Responsibilities:

• Examine patients and their medical records
\n
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
\n
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
\n
• Prescribe medications
\n
• Maintain accurate records and schedules
\n
• Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
\n
• Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
\n
• Oversee patients’ overall health
\n
• Promote good health practices
\n
• Advance professional knowledge and conduct research
\n

Skills:

• Proven experience as a non-physician provider in a clinic, hospital, skilled nursing, ER or other setting
\n
• Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices
\n
• Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
\n
• Excellent communication skills
\n
• Strong ethics
\n
• Team spirit with a positive attitude
\n
• Patience and cool headedness
\n
• Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
