TBD (8-hr shift between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm)

Salary:

$27.84/hr per SRP Contract

Duties:

• Performs diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of school buses, trucks, plows, other vehicles, and mechanical equipment for a suburban school district.
• May drive vehicles when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor for Transportation.
• Must provide own tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from a high school, trade school or college and two (2) years' experience in automotive repair work
• OR six (6) years' experience in automotive repair
• OR an equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the above.

• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class "A" or "B" NYS Commercial Driver's License with passenger school bus air brakes endorsement within 6 months
• Strong working knowledge of and ability to follow all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and reporting methods of the NYS Department of Transportation regarding school bus maintenance, inspection, and operation procedures.
