HiFyve is hiring a CNC Swiss Lathe Programmer in the precision Manufacturing industry in Kansas City, MO!
Salary: $30 - $38/hr
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Location: Kansas City, MO
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop programs for new parts on multi-axis Swiss lathes
- Create setup plans for Swiss turning centers
- Interpret technical drawings and ensure machines are set correctly
- Adjust cutting paths and optimize machining processes
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
- Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
- Maintain tooling, perform basic machine maintenance, and support process improvements
- Train operators on machine operation and program requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established safety and quality standards
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or GED required; vocational school or apprenticeship preferred
- 5+ years of experience programming Swiss lathes
- Experience with manual, semi-automated, or automated machining equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read blueprints and follow routers
- Knowledge of metals and machining characteristics
- Strong math, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with reliable attendance
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends when required
