Administration POSITION: Middle School Assistant Principal LOCATION: Northview Middle School CONTRACT LENGTH: 215 Days COMPENSATION: Competitive administrative benefits package Responsibilities Assists the Principal in the overall administration of the school Serves as designated Principal in the absence of the Principal Plans and supervises safety inspections, building security, fire and severe weather drills Coordinates custodial and maintenance services Serves with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives Assists in the supervision and evaluation of selected staff Performs data processing/scheduling functions as the Principal may direct. This includes calendar, grade reporting, lockers, etc. Assists and coordinates student compliance with district and building rules and regulations Assists building staff in resolving student behavior problems Attends expulsion hearings and court proceedings Coordinates special services activities, i.e. initial screenings, case conferences, student staffing's and Section 504 referrals Supervises extra-curricular and co-curricular activities Assists in leading Professional Learning Committees Other duties as assigned by the building Principa Required Certifications Indiana Building Level Administrators License Physical Requirements Seldom = Less than 25 % 3. Often = 51 to 75% Occasional = 26 to 50 % 4.
