JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD- Profession: Physician Specialty: Pediatric Neurology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Charleston, South Carolina Coverage Period: Oct 05, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 8:00 AM 8:00 AM Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 6-12 patients per day Case Mix: Inpatient, ICU, NICU, ER and other consults consistent with pediatric neurology Rounding: Included FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active South Carolina medical license required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide inpatient pediatric neurology coverage for 24-hour shifts, including rounding on inpatients, ICU, NICU, ER, and consults. Manage pager call, averaging 4-8 calls per night, including consults and caregiver communications. Collaborate with the resident team for patient care and rounding. Provide on-site coverage during days and nights. Ensure continuity of care for a 7-day consecutive period per month.
