Carpenter/Tradesman | McAlvain GC Self Perform

Role Overview:

At McAlvain, we believe the right person is vital to our success. We look for individuals who embody the following characteristics:

Purpose: Self perform light framing/drywall, rough carpentry, doors, and HW, and punchlist. Supporting multiple projects to increase efficiency and productivity.

Top 5 responsibilities:

Drywall: hanging, taping, and finishing to a clean, professional standard
Metal framing: layout and installation of metal stud framing systems
Doors and hardware: installation and adjustment of commercial doors, frames, and hardware (hinges, closers, locksets, panic hardware)
Bathroom accessories: installation of grab bars, partitions, dispensers, mirrors, and other commercial restroom fixtures
Punchlist work: identifying and resolving deficiencies to meet project specifications

Required Experience:

5 years commercial construction

Required Skills, Certifications, or Licenses

Strong attention to detail, especially for punchlist and finish-level work
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks across job sites
Reading and working from commercial construction drawings and specifications

Preferred Experience or Background:

Proven experience in commercial construction (carpentry, drywall, and/or metal framing)
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety
Strong attention to detail
