This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in providing mental health services within our correctional facility located in Winslow, Arizona. This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in work hours while maintaining the necessity for subsequent in-person sessions at our outpatient office. The role may require a rotating schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the facility and its residents.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate inmates’ mental health concerns, strengths, and treatment needs, providing a foundation for individualized care.

  • Offer both individual and group therapy sessions to address a variety of issues such as substance abuse, trauma, anger management, and planning for reentry into society.

  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, focusing on both immediate issues and long-term wellbeing.

  • Facilitate therapeutic groups that cover critical topics, including relapse prevention, anger management strategies, and essential life skills.

  • Collaborate actively with the treatment team to develop and revamp individualized treatment plans as necessary based on client progress and feedback.

  • Provide crisis intervention, conduct risk assessments, and formulate safety plans to ensure the wellbeing of clients within the correctional environment.

  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of sessions and assessments in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

  • Work closely with correctional staff to promote a safe, supportive environment, ensuring a cohesive approach to client care and rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve a diverse population of incarcerated individuals who face various mental health challenges, including but not limited to trauma responses, substance use disorders, and behavioral issues. Through your comprehensive approach, you will assist inmates in developing coping strategies, understanding their behaviors, and fostering resilience, all of which are essential for their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.

  • Sound knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based practices in treatment planning and delivery.

  • Experience with crisis interventions, therapeutic methodologies, and boundary-setting in sensitive environments.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.

  • Previous experience working within correctional or forensic mental health settings is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is USD 60,000 – 80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and licensure.
