Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.ResponsibilitiesPrepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memorandaE-file all court documents in state and federal courtCommunicate with clients, courts, counsel, and othersConduct legal research and factual investigationPrepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responsesDraft and serve summonsCoordinate and summarize depositionsPrepare trial binders and exhibits with legal assistantDraft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents to file with the courtMaintain pleadings and discovery indexesOrganize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendicesAid Attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requestsGather relevant information from a variety of sourcesLiaise between trial teams and internal and external third partiesHelp with witness preparationHelp with case settlementsPerforms other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the businessQualificationWorker's Compensation experience (preferred)Associate's Degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)At least 2 years of working experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm settingAbility to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervisionStrong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detailThis role is on-site, which gives you the chance to be fully immersed in the work and gain direct experience alongside the team.
