Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Controller to join the Behavioral Health Service Line team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Controller in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role requires strong financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage a small team effectively.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist the Controller in overseeing the Behavioral Health Service Line Accounting department and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts in collaboration with the Controller.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
- Manage and supervise a team of financial analysts, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Monitor and review accounting and financial processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and drive efficiencies.
- Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
- Assist in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Controller.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree Accounting, Finance or related field
- 4+ years of experience in Healthcare Accounting Required
- Experience in Business Objects or similar software, Power Point, and relational data bases required
