Head of Legal, Transportation & Logistics Industry

Latitude is partnering with a fast-growing, national transportation and logistics company to identify an experienced attorney to join the company as its Head of Legal. This senior level in-house counsel will report to the CEO and be a member of the company's leadership team. This is a highly visible, business-facing role that offers the opportunity to work closely with company leadership, support strategic initiatives, and make a meaningful impact across the organization. This full-time, direct hire, position is an immediate need. The Senior Counsel, Head of Legal will provide practical, business-oriented counsel on a broad range of matters, including commercial contracts and transactions, employment matters, claims management, and other day-to-day legal needs. Experience with transportation and logistics, including intermodal freight, is required. Requirements For The Senior Counsel, Head Of Legal 5+ years of legal experience, with experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements Experience representing companies on transportation and logistics matters, including intermodal freight Excellent analytical, negotiation, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills J.D. from an accredited law school Active bar license and good standing Outstanding professional references Preferred Experience Prior in-house legal experience preferred but not required Generalist level experience with employment law issues Experience advising businesses with operations in multiple states Position Details Type of Role: Permanent Direct Hire Schedule: Full-Time Location: Hybrid in Chicago, IL or Nashville, TN Compensation: Pay: The salary range for this role is $160,000 to $200,000. This position is also eligible for incentive bonus plans. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
