Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and energetic Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient transportation of bags of seed to the shipping area and involves various responsibilities such as loading and unloading trucks.

Responsibilities

• Transport bags of seed to the shipping area.

• Load and unload trucks efficiently.

• Utilize paper pick sheets for order processing.

• Operate a forklift safely and effectively.

• Lift and palletize boxes weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in forklift operation with at least 1 year of experience.

• Ability to lift 30-50 lbs repetitively and up to 60 lbs occasionally.

• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• 6 months previous experience in physical labor work.

• 1 year of order picking and shipping experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with inventory control and data entry.

• Familiarity with RF scanners and pallet jack usage.

• Understanding of bills of lading.

• Experience in material handling and shipping & receiving processes.

Work Environment

Work inside a warehouse and production facility that can vary in temperature, being colder in winter and hotter in summer. The environment is non-temperature controlled, dusty at times, but very clean and organized, with racking and seed bags.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WEST FARGO, ND.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
