ABOUT SAINTSBURY
The idea of a Saintsbury winery began in 1977 when our founders Ward & Graves met during their graduate studies in Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis. In 1983, the same year Carneros was officially recognized as an AVA (American Viticultural Area), Ward and Graves broke ground in Napa on our current Winery and Home Ranch.

From Carneros to the Sonoma Coast, Saintsbury celebrates the conviction of our founders: Napa pioneers and lifelong students of wine with a reverence for Burgundian tradition and a curiosity for the unknown. Saintsbury partners with family growers to pursue singular expressions of Pinot Noir & Chardonnay, hosting guests in our intimate English garden and working winery in the heart of Carneros. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Leading Saintsbury Garden Tasting experiences and sales conversions via POS for qualified guests, wine club members, and special groups. These 90-minute tastings focus on Single Vineyard Pinot Noir & Chardonnay, featuring a seated 5-wine tasting and a walking tour of Saintsbury’s Cellar and budding vineyard.
•  Executing one-to-one sales outreach to Saintsbury’s customer and member audiences via phone, email, and SMS.
•  Leading brand-focused onsite and local events like Member Pick Up Parties, In-Home Tastings in our customers’ locales, and consumer festivals.
•  Supporting Tasting Room operations with opening and closing duties, inventory management, collateral updates, printing, stocking essential supplies, glassware preparation and table setting, and maintaining an organized and hygienic workplace.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•  A highly attentive, hospitality-focused individual with a strong track record in DTC wine sales for premium wine brands.
•  Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working directly with a premium wine in a Tasting Room
•  1-2 years of experience in direct sales outreach, especially on Commerce7 or comparable wine commerce platforms.
•  Strong attention to detail with customer data and order entry to optimize the customer profile and lessen service issues.
•  Be passionate about building customer relationships and not only conducting transactions.
•  Demonstrated passion for wine and food–a love for gastronomy is an essential part of Saintsbury’s story, and we love to cook and break bread with our peers.
•  Wine education certifications (CMS, WSET) and participation in local Vintners Associations and Hospitality Forums are a plus.
•  Availability on weekends and weekdays, 9 – 5 pm, with occasional events in the early evening.
•  The ability to travel for in-market sales events with existing Saintsbury customers and members

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
•  Full-time, non-exempt hourly position starting at $20 - 22/hr. (DoE) + Tasting Room gratuity
•  Commission on Tasting Room & Outreach Sales, Membership Signups, and Event Sales.
