Role: Radiation Therapist Responsibilities: Administers prescribed radiation therapy, monitors patient reactions, and maintains safety standards. Delivers treatments, schedules appointments, educates patients, and acts as a liaison between patients and care teams. Participates in CT simulation and other procedures, and supports on-call duties. Mentors and trains new staff and students, ensuring current knowledge of techniques and equipment. Tracks inventory and adheres to safety regulations regarding radiation exposure. Qualifications & Skills: Requires an Associate’s Degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent; preferred Bachelor’s Degree. Demonstrates analytical, problem-solving abilities, and maintains confidentiality. Proficient in electronic health records and communication. Holds Basic Life Support certification and, within specified timeframes, certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Physical Demands: Capable of lifting 40-50 lbs, standing, walking extensively, and performing activities such as kneeling and bending.
