About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on PLC programmer who can hit the ground running on customer sites with minimal guidance. This is a field-focused role that requires both electrical troubleshooting skills and strong programming ability.
What You'll Do
- Travel to customer sites to commission, troubleshoot, and support automation systems
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and software issues independently
- Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFDs
- Work with limited documentation in fast-paced environments
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (required)
- Ladder logic programming proficiency (required)
- VFD programming experience (required)
- Basic networking skills including assigning/changing IP addresses, pinging devices, EtherNet/IP communication, and Modbus
- Ability to troubleshoot both electrical hardware and PLC software
- Comfortable working independently with little supervision
- Willing to travel approximately 1 week per month
Nice to Have
- Experience with Siemens or AutomationDirect platforms
- Panel wiring or electrical drawing experience
