AWS Cloud Engineer

Role Name: AWS Cloud Engineer - Onsite Location: Las Vegas, NV (100% Onsite - Local Candidates Only) Duration: 6 Months GBaMS ReqID: 10223974 Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure leveraging core services: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Backups, EKS, SSO, MSK, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and related security/compliance tooling
- Advanced networking implementation and troubleshooting with AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) and Direct Connect, including hybrid connectivity setups
- Configure observability and monitoring using Amazon CloudWatch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry (OTEL), and proactive alerting
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and automate deployments with GitLab CI/CD and Shell scripting
- Manage container orchestration and service mesh with Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio for traffic management, security, and observability
- Perform patching and vulnerability remediation in cloud-native and containerized environments, following security best practices and compliance standards
- Develop Python or Bash scripts for automation, tooling, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate in fast-paced Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services and security tooling
- Advanced networking knowledge and hybrid cloud connectivity experience (TGW, Direct Connect)
- Observability and monitoring expertise (CloudWatch, Grafana, OTEL)
- IaC and automation proficiency (Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Shell scripting)
- Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio experience for containerized environments
- Cloud security, patching, and vulnerability remediation experience
- Programming and scripting skills in Python or Bash
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaborative skills in Agile teams
