Job Summary Under the direction of the Building Administrator and the MLL teacher is responsible for supporting the secondary educational process and responsible for applying MLL strategies and supporting language development for MLL students. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job descriptions. Salary Range $27.38 - $31.13 Paraeducator A and $28.91 - $32.84/hour Paraeducator B per 2026-27 Public School Employees Salary Schedule. Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation. Special Duties Provide support for Career and Technical Education (CTE) program at Centennial Middle School. Responsibilities include assisting in the Family and Consumer Science Department and Shop class with shopping, purchasing and stocking materials, organizing lab and prep/tear down. Provide support to MLL students. Work Schedule Start Date: September 1, 2026 Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:30-2:00 p.m. Paid Hours: 6 hours per day, Para A - 4.0 hours and Para B - 2 hours Lunch Break: 30 minutes, unpaid break Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time office during spring break, winter break and summer, plus 10 paid holidays. Qualifications Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, AND meet one of the following: Have received a score of 455 on the ETS ParaPro, or a qualifying score on the Pearson Paraprofessional assessment or Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Training Program. Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university. Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate. Upon hire, willingness to obtain a Food Handler's Permit. Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
