About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24001!

• Provide direct patient care in a telemetry PCU setting specializing in stroke, neurology, and hospitalist medicine patients
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Administer IV therapy, blood products, and cardiac drips (no titration); manage central and peripheral line care
• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Maintain isolation precautions and operate within telemetry, PCU, IMC, and stepdown unit environments
• Float within skillset to other units as operationally required

• Active Virginia State RN license or active Compact RN license required; pending licensure considered only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records required
• Demonstrated Neuro PCU or stepdown clinical experience
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be considered for one 13-week assignment with no eligibility to extend; candidates residing 50-99.9 miles away may also be considered for one 13-week assignment with no eligibility to extend; locals are welcome under these conditions

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be considered
• Experience managing IV drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Lidocaine, and Ketamine
• Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring and tele-sitting environments
• Experience in Joint Commission certified stroke center or neuroscience unit settings

• Opportunity to work within a large, Magnet-designated Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital offering advanced specialty care across multiple disciplines
• Staffing ratios target 1:4, with a typical working ratio of 1:5, supporting a structured and team-oriented care environment
