Location: Saco, Maine
About the Position
Our client is seeking a Regional CDL A Driver for a hands-on driving opportunity based in Saco, Maine. This role involves regional routes throughout New Hampshire and Vermont, with returns to Maine and overnight layovers in the sleeper. Drivers will transport pre-hung doors to millwork stores while providing heavy-touch freight handling.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $33 per hour
- Additional Compensation: $75 per night per diem
- Overtime: Available after 40 hours
- Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,500
- Schedule: Monday and Tuesday through Thursday and Friday
- Hours per Week: 40
- Employment Type: Temp to Perm
Job Details
- Route Type: Regional routes to New Hampshire and Vermont, with returns to Maine
- Freight: Pre-hung doors delivered to millwork stores
- Equipment: Sleeper for overnight layovers
- Handling: Heavy-touch freight involving doors weighing approximately 100 to 125 pounds each
- Stops: Approximately 7 to 12 stops per day
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL A commercial vehicle on regional routes
- Transport and deliver pre-hung doors to millwork stores
- Tailgate doors weighing approximately 100 to 125 pounds each
- Coordinate with receivers, who will complete the unloading process
- Complete approximately 7 to 12 delivery stops per day
- Follow all applicable safety and transportation regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL A
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
