Cath Lab RN – CVT (Open) RN Cath Lab Tech opportunity for a Level 1 Trauma Center in Roanoke, Virginia. This role includes a sign‑on bonus up to $30,000 and a relocation allowance. To accept, a call is required with a 30‑minute response time. Location & Facility The position is based at 1906 Belleview Ave SE, Roanoke, with the Cath Lab located in the newly built Crystal Springs Tower. The facility serves as a 24/7 STEMI program and an ACC‑accredited Chest Pain center. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians with direct patient care during catheterization, interventional, and device implant procedures in scrub, circulator, and monitor positions. Prepare patients and advanced equipment for invasive procedures; scrub and assist physician during procedures. Advise on procedural strategies and supply needs; assist in emergent conditions. Serve as patient advocate, advising on sedation and pain medication for comfort. Operate digital X‑ray equipment and administer medications under physician supervision. Monitor and interpret EKG and hemodynamics; input and manage procedural data. Perform basic data manipulation to obtain shunt calculation and cardiac outputs. Participate in procedure team functions such as transport, sheath removal, closure site care, and informed consent. Maintain procedural sedation according to institutional policies and maintain credential to monitor sedation. Document all activities in compliance with ACC, sedation, pain management, and medication policies. Procedures and Equipment TAVR, Mitral Clips, Watchman/Amulet, PFO closures, high‑risk PCI, rotational atherectomy, shockwave IVL, IABP, Impella, etc. Diagnostic, interventional, and structural procedures including LVAD, advanced heart failure, and peripheral interventions. Qualifications & Education Graduated from an accredited nursing school. Valid RN license in Virginia. AHA BLS‑HCP certification; AHA‑ACLS certification within six months of hire. Successful completion of cardiac monitoring course. Experience in critical care preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Proficiency in patient transport, sheath removal, closure site care, and documentation. Physical & Work Requirements Lift, bend, push, pull, reach, stand, walk, and wear a 15‑lb lead apron during procedures. Maintain insertion site pressure for at least 30 minutes for hemostatic seal.
