Sales Representative, Distributor - Minneapolis, MN

What you will be doing In this role, you will partner with our contract hardware distribution channel and sell door security solutions. You will negotiate and close profitable sales revenue, maintain relationships, and promote distributor promotions. Key areas you will contribute to in the role include Develop and maintain relationships in all areas of the distributor’s organization. Actively solicit, follow-up, and negotiate all quote opportunities. Manage distributor buying programs. Actively promote distributor promotions and programs to secure discretionary sales revenue. Work closely with distributors to ensure that they quote ASSA ABLOY specifications. Conduct regularly scheduled distributor business reviews. Plan, coordinate, and conduct distributor product/solution training sessions. Coordinate the resolution of product and field service issues. Manage brand shelf space at distributor accounts. Willing to travel up to 50% and meet customer requirements. Capable of performing responsibilities from a home office or while traveling. Can lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sales presentations. Education and/or experience College/University degree preferred (e.g., architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or related fields) or work experience commensurate with a minimum high school/GED diploma. Minimum of 2–3 years of industry-related experience in the distribution channel of the door & hardware industry with multi-line sales expertise. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Use and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting. Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus. Compensation and Benefits : The wage range for this role is $85K – $115K. The compensation package includes bonus, a 401(k) plan, education assistance, company car, and other benefits. Pay within the range is based on various factors including job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business requirements, geographic location, and other needs.
