Performs specimen processing and moderate complexity laboratory testing following prescribed training and SOPs complying with the laboratory QA/QC program. Is prompt for work and seeks support and guidance if needed regarding absenteeism. This position is located at the Fred Hutch Evergreen Hospital campus at 12040 NE 128th St Ste Silver 1600, Kirkland, WA 98034. The schedule for this position will be full-time Monday-Friday, with rotating shifts from 6:30am-3pm, 7:30am-4pm, and 9am-5:30pm. Handle biological specimens performing processing and clinical assays following the SOP. Operates analytical instruments. Performs maintenance, calibrations, and QC consulting a CLT/CT as needed. Under the supervision of a CLT/CT, releases results following the SOP. Required: High school graduate or equivalent Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and word processing. Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear, concise, and professional manner. Attention to detail. Ability to work in a high pressure, time-sensitive, and complex healthcare environment. Ability to identify and triage issues appropriately. Familiarity with medical terminology. Must be able to differentiate between colors and pass a standardized color vision screen to perform this role Preferred: Bachelor of Science in chemical, biological, or physical science Clinical or research lab experience preferred, experience in a healthcare setting preferred The hourly pay range for this position is from $28.36 to $40.37 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
