This contract role offers a rich, collaborative experience across multiple elementary and middle school locations, serving a diverse student community and supporting their ability to thrive in and out of the classroom.


Key qualifications and experience sought:

• Florida SLP license required
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome and supervision is available
• For this year only: Bachelor-level clinicians willing to work under a temporary teaching certificate (not an SLPA license) may apply for elementary positions
• Experience in school settings is highly valued
• Flexibility to accommodate a multi-school assignment

Primary responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct speech-language therapy to students at assigned school sites
• Completing comprehensive assessments and preparing progress reports
• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Providing regular consultation to classroom teachers and families
• Offering supervision and mentorship to Clinical Fellow candidates as needed
• Maintaining active communication and collaboration with school staff and administrators
• Engaging in ongoing professional development and compliance with state and district requirements

Role details and schedule:

• Immediate start with commitment through June 5, 2026
• Current schedule: 4 days per week split between elementary schools in Ormond Beach (3 days at one site, 1 day at another), or 4 days per week at a middle school in Port Orange
• 37.5 hours per week; schedule will increase to five days for the 2025-2026 school year
