General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):

· Number of Beds - 40

· Type of staff:

o Day Shift – 1 Charge Nurse/ 10 staff/bedside nurses/4 PCTs/1 Unit Secretary

o Night Shift – 1 Charge Nurse/10 staff/bedside nurses/3 PCTs

· Patient Ratios –1:4; stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio

· Type of patients: patients with CHF, MI, CP, arrhythmia, Pulmonary Hypertension; valvular disease, endocarditis; DKA; post cardiac cath/stent; post pacer/ICD/ ablation.

· Type of equipment: Zoll, Baxter pump, lift equipments, bladder scanner;

· EMR - Cerner

Skill Set Most recruited for:

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

· Stepdown or progressive care experience

· Telemetry experience

· Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications like nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, bumex/Lasix; etc.

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

· Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin).

· Relief charge experience

· Bedside Cardioversion

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

· BLS, ACLS

Floating Area(s):

· All MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding.

Dress Code :

· Scrub Color/Attire - all white or all navy blue or white top and navy blue pants.

Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.

· Will be discussed during orientation

Weekends and On call(if any)

· Every other weekend
