CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 19:30 to 08:00, working 3x12 hour shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care for patients undergoing cardiac surgery. The successful candidate will work with a diverse patient population, managing complex cardiac conditions and providing post-operative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for individuals in the CVICU environment
• Monitor patients post-cardiac surgery for complications
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans
• Assist with the management of ventilators and titrate medications
• Conduct routine assessments and interpret diagnostic tests
• Support and educate families regarding patient care and recovery

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Maryland RN license or compact license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU/open heart experience
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Charge experience is preferred
• Ability to manage patients with complex medical conditions
