IT Systems Administrator

To learn more visit: Waabi is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our growing IT Operations team and provide hands-on technology support for our Sharpsburg, PA site while helping scale IT operations across all Waabi locations. This is a high-ownership, onsite role focused on ensuring employees have reliable, secure, and efficient technology experiences. You will support day-to-day IT operations, manage endpoint and identity systems, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and partner with teams across the organization to deliver scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working across multiple layers of IT — from supporting users and managing endpoints to maintaining office infrastructure and improving IT processes. You will collaborate closely with the broader IT team to provide remote support to other Waabi locations and participate in the IT Support on-call rotation. Location: This position is an onsite position that will require onsite 5 days per week in Sharpsburg, PA. You Will.. End User Support & IT Operations

• Provide onsite technical support for employees at the Sharpsburg, PA location, including hardware, software, networking, and access issues
• Serve as a trusted IT partner for local teams, providing timely troubleshooting and solutions
• Support remote users and collaborate with IT team members across other Waabi locations
• Participate in the IT Support on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed
• Manage incidents and requests through Jira Service Management, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication
• Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures

Endpoint Management & Device Lifecycle

• Administer endpoint management platforms for Windows, macOS, and Linux devices
• Support device enrollment, configuration profiles, security policies, application deployment, and compliance reporting
• Assist with zero-touch deployment processes using technologies such as Windows Autopilot and Apple Business Manager/Automated Device Enrollment
• Manage workstation lifecycle including provisioning, configuration, troubleshooting, replacement, and retirement
• Support mobile device management and secure BYOD access workflows
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory and asset management records

Identity & Access Management

• Support user lifecycle management including onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, and access changes
• Manage and administer identity, access, and collaboration platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, or similar systems
• Support group management, permissions, and access policies
• Assist with SSO integrations and SaaS application access management
• Help implement secure access practices aligned with company security requirements

Site Infrastructure & Workplace Technology - Own day-to-day IT operations for the Sharpsburg office, including: Workstations and peripherals Printers and print services Conference room technology and A/V systems Network connectivity troubleshooting Physical IT infrastructure

• Support wired and wireless network troubleshooting, including switches, patch panels, and cabling
• Partner with Facilities and vendors on office technology projects, expansions, and improvements
• Assist with deployment and maintenance of physical technology infrastructure
• Support specialized engineering and lab environments as needed

Security & Compliance Support

• Support implementation and maintenance of endpoint security standards and controls
• Assist with device compliance monitoring, patch management, and security remediation activities
• Follow established security processes and help improve operational controls
• Support audits and compliance initiatives through documentation, reporting, and evidence collection
• Partner with security teams to investigate and remediate endpoint-related issues

Process Improvement & IT Scaling

• Identify opportunities to improve IT workflows, automation, and employee experience
• Contribute to scalable processes that support Waabi’s growth
• Improve documentation, knowledge sharing, and support practices across the IT organization

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, desktop support, or IT operations roles
• Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments in a business setting
• Experience administering endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, JumpCloud, Jamf, or similar platforms
• Experience with identity and access management concepts, including user provisioning, permissions, and authentication
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and user-facing technologies
• Experience supporting onsite office infrastructure, including networking, printers, conferencing systems, and peripherals
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests while maintaining excellent customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical processes clearly and with a customer service mindset
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a distributed IT team
• Willingness to participate in an IT support on-call rotation
• Ability to lift and move material up to ~50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting a multi-site organization with both onsite and remote users
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta, or similar identity platforms
• Experience with SSO integrations using SAML and SCIM
• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar)
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, or specialized computing environments
• Experience with office buildouts, vendor coordination, and physical infrastructure projects
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment

The US yearly salary range for this role is: $100,000 - $155,000 USD in addition to competitive perks & benefits. Waabi (US) Inc.’s yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Company’s compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Note: The Company provides additional compensation for employees in this role, including equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus. Perks/Benefits:
